Sexually transmitted diseases

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) can be transmitted from person to person by sexual activity. Although STDs are most often spread through anal, vaginal, or oral intercourse, many STDs can also be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact. HIV or AIDS, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea, Genital Herpes, Trichomoniasis are the major examples. As organisms in semen, vaginal secretions, or blood are transmitted during sexual intercourse microorganisms on the skin or mucus membranes of the male or female genital area can also be transmitted.
